GENERAL RENTING RULES AND CONDITIONS FOR VÅRLI:

 

 

 

Description of the cottage:

 

Holiday house (ca. 230 m2) located in Hardanger. Two living rooms and 5 bedrooms, and equipped for 10 persons. Natural garden (ca 3000 m2) with great possibilities for outdoor activities and playground for children. Nice view over the Hardangerfjord, Folgefonna Glacier and the mountains around. In the local area you can fish and bath in the fjord and hike in the forest and mountains. Short distance to Folgefonna Glacer (summerski center), the famous Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall, Rosendal and Bergen. Well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and drier, electric cooker and cooker hood, microwave oven, fridge and freezer (400 l), coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, radio and stereo set with CD, 2 colour TVs, DVD, BlueRay, Sat-tv, broadband/internet connection (you have to bring your own PC), garden furniture and barbeque. Boat (15 feet) with motor and bed linen for rent. Final house cleaning can be ordered.

The rented area of the cottage is according to the attached plan of the house. The washing machine and drier are placed in the basement. It is possible to drive by car to about 15m from the house, but the last 100m of the road is steep. You can park 1 car by the house and 1-2 cars about 60m from the house. Additional cars can be parked by the main road (about 200m from the house). The boat is placed in a marina about 10minutes walking distance (about 1min by car) from the house.

 

 

Lease period

The cottage is leased from Saturday to Saturday (weekly), or as agreed. The lease period starts on the arrival day at 4 p.m. and ends on departure day at 10 a.m. Access to  the holiday cottage is from the first day of the lease period or as specially agreed with the owner.

 

 

Prices.

The prices are given in Norwegian krone (NOK). The price- NOK 8.000  to NOK 10.000 (about Euro 1.000-1.200  depending on the season and exchange rate)  pr week - covers full hire of the cottage and equipment, and include electricity, water (from public water supplier), detergents for cleaning of the cottage and dishwasher, pillows and featherbeds.

The boat with motor can be rented for NOK 1000,- pr week, included 5 life vests for adults. Patrol is not included.

Bed linen can be rented for NOK 80,- pr. set.

Final house cleaning NOK 900,-

Firewood, charcoal and gas on your own or to be paid by consumption if agreed in advance.

 

 

Payment and cancellation.

On entering into a rental agreement a confirmation will be sent by writing, telefax or e-mail. At the same time a deposit of 20 per cent of the rental charge is due to be paid. The remainder must be the owner in hand no later than 8 weeks prior to the day of arrival.

 

In case of cancellation of the agreement by the tendant the following fees will be charged:

Booking-120 days prior to the beginning og the tenancy: 10 percent og the total rental charge.

119-60 days prior to the beginning of the tenancy: 20 per cent of the total rental charge.

59-1 days prior to the beginning of the tenancy: 80 per cent of the total rental charge.

On the day of arrival or later and in case of non-arrival: 100 per cent of the total rental charge.

 

 

Things to bring

Unless agreed otherwise you are required to bring bed linen (sheet, pillow case, duvet cover), towels, kitchen towels, soap and toilet paper. 

 

 

Cancellation insurance

Please note that rental does not include any form of cancellation insurance, and it is therefore recommended to sign a travel and cancellation policy with your insurance provider.

 

General Renting rules:

The holiday cottage may not be occupied by more guests than stated - ten persons including children. In case of overcrowding the cottage owner have the right to refuse admittance to the extra number of guests. Tents, caravans and the like are not allowed on the accompanying ground without permission from the owner.  The cleaning of the holiday house is the tenants responsibility. Prior to the departure the holiday home as well as all equipment must be cleaned. A final cleaning service can for payment be ordered. However, the holiday home must be left tidy and presentable. The tenant is obligated to wash up, so that crockery, cutlery, and other kitchen utensils are left clean. The tenant is responsible for any damage on the house or equipment caused by the tenant or a member of his/her party during the leasing period.  In case of problems/complaints the tenant may demand rectification and/or reparation from the home owner. If the home owner offers to correct and/or repair the deficiency the tenant cannot complain of the deficiency if the correction/reparation is carried out within reasonable time and without expense or serious inconvenience to the tenant. Complaints can only be accepted if they are notified immediately and no later than 5 days from the beginning of the tenancy. However, the tenant cannot make up a claim in case of unpredicted disturbances, problems, damage and power cuts. This also applies to the piping and sanitary appliances. If the tenant for reasons irrelevant to the owner does not use or lay claim to the services agreed upon in the rental agreement the tenant is not entitled to a partial refund. The owner's financial responsibility is limited to the paid rent for the house or for the boat.
